BE CAREFUL when travelling!

As the holiday period is coming, the risk of losing cards or you identification documents is increasing. Remember some basic rules.

How to avoid risks when travelling?

If you have several cards on you, do not keep them in one place (wallet). This reduces the risk of theft and your being left with no money to survive. Always keep an eye on your payment card when making transactions at shops or restaurants to eliminate the risk of it being copied. Before cash withdrawal, check whether the ATM does not look suspicious (e.g. whether it has no additional cameras installed, or any plastic on the keyboard, etc.). Pay attention to people behind you as they may try to peep at your PIN code. Take a copy of your passport and other important documents with you. Remember not to keep the copies together with the original documents. Keep your valuable things, money, traveller’s cheques and documents in a hotel safe or a bank deposit box. In a crowd, try to hold your handbags or backpacks in front of you or under your arm, clasps and zippers directed inwards.

Before going abroad, make sure that:

• you have completed your Insurance Card – you may cut the card from the back cover of the “Insurance Certificate” brochure or order it at our Diners Club Polska office + 48 22 826 07 66.
• you activated your Breloczek (Key Fob) service provided free of charge by Diners Club Polska; you may activate the service at a free hotline 0-800-800-110
• consider activating the BLOKADA service that guarantees immediate blocking of all your lost cards at one free hotline number. IT REALLY WORKS!

When you lose your Card, you need to:

• call Diners Club Polska as soon as possible or, if you activated your BLOKADA service, call the free 24h hotline 0 800 800 110.

GUIDELINES ON THE SAFE USAGE OF PAYMENT CARDS:

1. Be sure to read the payment card rules and regulations.
2. ever keep your PIN code with your payment card.
3. emember the telephone number where you may block your card.
4. onsider ordering a Blokada service which enables blocking all the cards at one free hotline number where the SECURIA employees will block the cards for you. All you need to do is to call 0 800 800 110, a number that you always have on you, either on your key fob or on safety stickers. You may order the service through the hotline. When paying with your Diners Club Card, you’ll get a special price for the service.
5. hen shopping, it is best to use your card as much as possible, and to withdraw cash from ATMs only in exceptional cases.
6. o not dispose of the bills until you receive a statement to compare them with.
7. ay your dues within the period specified on the statement.
8. ever reveal your Card data and PIN code to third persons.
