Insurance coverage in the card package

Diners Club Card provides you with a full insurance coverage when travelling abroad. The insurance is included in the card’s annual fee. The insurance covers not only the Cardmember/Card User but also his/her family members who are travelling with the Cardmember/Card User or – in the case of a corporate card – colleagues. The number of travels covered is unlimited provided that the insurance coverage is properly activated. The territorial range of the insurance includes all the countries in the world as well as international territories, excluding areas involved in military operations. The trip may last up to 180 days.

Features of the international travel card package insurance

• Cancellation, disruption, delay of travel already over 4 h
• Very wide range of legal assistance costs as a standard (up to PLN 20,000)
• High sums insured – e.g. third-party liability up to USD 1,000,000
• Duration of a single international travel up to 180 days.
• Chronic diseases included in the standard insurance
• Accident/disease resulting from pregnancy that occurred up to 1 month before the planned delivery
• Short exclusion list
• No need to notify specific travels
• Protection for expats in the country of their nationality.

Travel insurance activation: Activation of the insurance coverage is easy and may be made in several ways (alternatively):

1. just pay for any of the following travel costs with your Diners Club Card – you don’t have to notify Diners Club or the insurer of your intention to go abroad:
   • purchase of flight, train, coach or cruise tickets
   • costs of accommodation – also when booking by quoting the Diners Club Card number as a security
   • car rental abroad
   • purchase of petrol when crossing the border of Poland. A proof of your stay abroad is necessary, in the form of e.g. confirmation of a transaction made with any card for a purchase on the same day
2. you may also notify your trip directly to Diners Club Polska and then use your Diners Club Card within the following 48h
